This is the first in a series of retrospectives looking back at individual pieces of equipment form the early years of HEMA, specifically in the school the Thomas Brothers founded in 2006. There were few dedicated items for training, and it's interesting to look back at where we all started.
These armadillo mittens were bought from the Reenactor's Market around 2006, and served a number of years, and hundreds of fights until the era of the Brine gloves and beyond.
