Filmed during Fightcamp Skirmish 2024. I, Nick Thomas, of the Academy of Historical Fencing had just picked up this beefcake sword from Paul Binns. Jordan Mock of the Academy of Historical Fencing came to put it to the test in a fun sword and buckler bout.
Specs of this thick type XIV or Cinquedea trainer -
Weight - 1223g
Blade length - 66cm
PoB - 6cm
Jordan is for the most part a follower of the earlier Medieval sword and buckler styles, whereas I (Nick) have a preference for the 16th century Bolognese methods, hence the interest in a Cinquedea.
