A couple exceptional examples listed below may marginally outclass it on a technical perspective, but artistically speaking, Ghost of Tsushima is conceivably the prettiest game I have ever seen.
PlayStation 4 has had the most impressive looking games this generation. Horizon Zero Dawn, Shadow of the Colossus, Detroit: Become Human, Marvel's Spider-Man, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Death Stranding, Final Fantasy VII: Remake and The Last of Us Part II were all head & shoulders above their peers. Ghost of Tsushima effortlessly joins this company of coveted pantheon glory.
Just roaming around the island of Tsushima, there is a plethora of breathtaking imagery to envelop the player. As Sony ended this generation with swan songs of extraordinary grandeur, imagine what PlayStation 5 will be capable of.
