Yes indeed! This actually happened! I was really surprised when the music supervisor at Showtime reached out to me for permission to use GG’s fantastic track, Carmelita, in an episode of their series, Californication. Season 3, episode 12 titled Mia Culpa. It was also included on the Season 3 soundtrack. It was a bit surreal watching David Duchovny floating around in a pool drinking, while GG sang in the background. Turns out that the producer is a HUGE Warren Zevon fan and loved GG’s version of Carmelita. I realize this may ruffle the feathers of some GG Allin fans, but, he would have loved this. I have a link below to the scene. I thought they did a great job with how the song was used. Thanks for checking out the video and other Ponk content! Your support is much appreciated.
