Lots more GG Allin content on the channel!
In 1993 I visited GG Allin in the Jackson Prison facility, in Jackson Michigan. We chatted and reminisced about the time we spent together in Florida making Carnival of Excess. We also chatted about his future plans with his band and how things were going for him in general. Spent a lot of time talking about Carnival of Excess and what to do with it. It’s unfortunate that I wasn’t able to get Carnival released before GG passed. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story. Certainly there is a lot more detail and this paints just the broad brushstrokes. It was a day to remember. While we were in contact via phone (and mail) over the next several months, this visit was the last time I would see GG in a private, or intimate, setting. I would see him alive only one more time at a gig in Youngstown Ohio.
