Strongpoint Pinguin had quite a punch. Originally, this was the French battery of Fort Lapin with four 164mm guns in open emplacements. The Kriegsmarine took over the battery and built a casemate for one gun. The 612 and the Observation belong to its neighbour Stützpunkt Qualle.
