Shown is a Gaussian wave packet propagating in a circular infinite potential well, i.e., a circular billiard.

The dimensions of the discrete domain is 800x800 lattice points, and 14000 time steps were calculated. However, only every third of the calculated frames were used - the video would otherwise have been too slow. The used method, the Crank-Nicolson method namely requires relatively small time steps to be numerically accurate.

Music by @gpcbass. The song is called Shore of Women, and was originally made in the 80's. The song in the video is a new recording.
