Shown in this short video is a triangular potential (an axe, say) propagating with its sharp corner towards a non-moving electron represented by a Gaussian probability wave in two dimensions. The electron is eventually cut in half. Since this occurs in a box with hard boundaries the probability wave reflects, rejoins, interferes and all that crap.
The grayscale of the man on the axe, Schrödinger, is actually a potential landscape itself, which potential landscape is insignificant in the cutting process, though. Erwin Schrödinger's significance in quantum mechanics is however hard to overestimate.
