Beginning in 1987, King Features Entertainment distributed the Sandy Frank Film Syndication Inc. versions of five Gamera films to television and home video. Of these films, "Gamera" (1965), "Gamera vs Gaos" (1967) and "Gamera vs Zigra" were given pre-movie teasers for television, presumably to pad the runtimes a _little_ more and/or get to the monsters right away. To my knowledge, neither "Gamera vs Barugon" (already north of 100 minutes) or "Gamera vs Guiron" (Sandy Frank's version of which was apparently produced after the other four movies) ever had similar such teasers.
These were never part of the films when released on home video, whether on VHS (in a few different iterations from Celebrity Home Entertainment) or LaserDisc (Image Entertainment), so they remain obscure in 2025. As far as I can tell, they only exist online today as part of their respective "Mystery Science Theater 3000" episodes produced for KTMA TV 23.
As with the Sandy Frank versions themselves, these seem to have been edited on 16mm film before being telecined.
