American John San Miguel was another prolific film dubber in Hong Kong from the late 1970s to the early 1990s: besides these two films for Toho International, San Miguel notably can be heard with Rik Thomas in _Challenge of the Tiger_ (dubbing Bruce Le and supplying the trailer voiceover), with Ted Thomas in _Kung Fu Executioner_ (dubbing Carl R. Scott), in Vaughan Savidge's parody "Chop Chop" (circa 1982?), in a number of IFD and Filmark productions and in the Japanese series "Oshin!"
While in Hong Kong, San Miguel stayed busy behind the camera (but not necessarily the microphone) with wife Susan E. Blanchard, founding in 1984 the a/v production service "Take Two." He lent his voice to the 1982 Nam San Film documentary "Wonders of China" (is this available anywhere?) as well as producing the 1986 travelogue "Inside Hong Kong" (available in full at the Kiwi Films channel, and listen for Rik Thomas).
Finding "Inside Hong Kong" led me to the Kiwi Films reel with "Exposé," in which I immediately recognized San Miguel's voice. Sydney Perkins graciously clipped some relevant articles and images from the South China _Morning Post_ which confirmed that the actor in Exposé" was in fact John San Miguel. I rushed out this video with readily-available files because I had the afternoon free to do so, but I wholly encourage you to visit the Kiwi Films channel and the links below.
