This fight was the bane of my existence for a time measurable on and off again in months. I didn't want to talk about it. Think about it. Get the song stuck in my head about it. So it's no wonder I let this thing slip through the cracks for so long.
ALSO the VICTORY FANFARE by itself got this whole video dinged for copyright ID, which is kinda nuts and a little bit petty, I think... so I might've been disinclined to address it... ... ... but, y'know what, unlikely to matter much, low viewership on long, boring video. Have a fraction of a fraction of a penny, Square-Enix. My treat.
(There's an entire collection of stream archives piled up at this point about how I got here, but I don't think anyone needs to be in a rush to see THOSE... unless you're bigger glutton for punishment than I apparently am.)
Some friends of mine are trying to do the baby version of Omega for the first time... and I honestly still can't say as I would recommend fighting it as a team, but doing it as a COORDINATED team is always a plus.
So I'm posting this now in the hopes that it's useful to someone. Maybe one of them, who knows? ;3

The ACTUAL most overlooked detail in this fight, I find is... UPGRADE YOUR ARMOR. Max it out. If you can't, get more spheres! There are more event quests than ever dedicated to them. Smelting is kind of a waste by comparison, but you do you.
This fight is a marathon AND a DPS check, but if you have to pick one, and you're doing it as a group, favor the marathon approach. "I'll just dodge them all" for nearly half an hour is not sustainable when your whole party can go down to the wrong attack at the wrong time.
AFTER that, THEN worry about skills that will keep you as alive as you need to be, and FINALLY you can focus on offensive skills, again, especially if you're doing it in a group. Lowest priority, as counterintuitive as it might feel.
If you're doing it solo (with Support Hunters, preferably), THEN you probably need to sweat the damage output more. Or if you're trying to carry whole groups... which, yes, there's a special breed of SOS hunter who's that as well.
Your likelihood of finding a well coordinated group that you will ALSO gel with in random or even arbitrary posted matchmaking, however, is rather low.

Also, I don't know why anyone would WANT it, but there was technically a live chat audience the whole time... low engagement, but I prefer to consider it cozy with my most dedicated friendos, lurkers, and stream monsters... watching me and my mental state deteroirate from doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome.

Disappointingly... I only got two and a half endings. Somehow. I didnt remember that you can take alternate routes to end up at the same place.

Theres actually a rather robust bevy of options for configuring the teams to your liking. You can even choose to play 1v1 games! ... ... ...why would you actually WANT to do that?!
...also, not like I saw most of them myself, but I hear its pretty great.
The game definitely works and feels better with friends, although the random pickup games arent that much more cutthroat or less understandable as a result, so I suppose its entirely dependent upon the company you keep.
Nintendo cant provide for that, unfortunately. (Yet.)
Although I will say, and I really DID warn people. The top of the line Bot opponents are quite good at the game. They actually KNOW how to play it?! They showboat taking round the clock 3.1-pointers with their bunny hop perfect shots. Almost like they already KNOW the outcome before throwing!")
