Okay, but does the planet have a video streaming platform?

At the very least, the algorithm and I are not on especially amazing speaking terms, so it's probably for the best that I ride whatever insanity prompted me to get back to this thing, huh?

Machine Planet Mecheye:

Or, as it was later re-romanized to, "Mekkai," which probably makes a slight bit more sense than insinuating that there's some kind of "eye" involvement here.

This is a MUCH meatier stage overall, although some of that is entirely optional. But we like optional stuff in our game about combing through platforming playgrounds and using highly variable abilities and powerups to wreak havoc on foe, puzzle, challenge, and collectible alike, right?

I'm not sure what's up with the whole first room being so open and available to explore for something with nothing in it. Usually Warp Star sequences take place in room transitions that conveniently block you off from doing anything in the places where the spectacle set piece happened.

Anyway, general carelessness around known endless chasms that we will NOT be addressing directly aside, to call this place fairly treacherous would be an understatement. Lots of places to fall and lose a Kirby, water trying to shove you down there. Barely-covered exposed heating elements? Oh, and a really weird interaction with a cannon firing and not handing off correctly to the next one that I've frankly never seen before... but we can chalk that up to a REALLY inconveniently specific co-op interaction that you'd generally not see most of the time... (Birdon just really wanted to ride in a cannon and couldn't wait! Don't stifle the whimsical exploration!)

Despite all this developed space, this planet is relatively scarce on Deluxe Copy Essences. The fairly obviously located, but not entirely trivially reached high doorway with the Yo-Yo ability is pretty useful for the familiar switches-and-shutters action puzzle segment we've seen in several sub-games before thiis one. Or you could just cheat and let a P2-controlled player character stay behind to make sure you don't get locked in and need to start over.

The final stretch is an elevator shaft flanked by mostly optional miniboss encounters, although only Bonkers is strictly necessary to proceed... you wouldn't know this until after you've defeated each one, however.

Of additional note is the placement of the Plasma Deluxe Copy Essence guarded by Iron Mam of all opponents, directy across from an opportunity to use it to open an obvious cache of items without many other obvious means of access. The placement of Plasma Wisp enemies nearby SHOULD hopefully give you the right idea.

BOSS: Heavy Lobster

Y'know, I find it exceedingly unlikely that this planet has anything to do with the Halberd's pet mechanical monstrosity... but maybe they jut have really good PR for an autonomous mobile weapons system. Might explain the general incongruousness of the thing and its general disregard for aircraft safety.

The other prevailing notion I"ve heard passed around is that these extraplanetary Dream Fountains want to test Kirby's resolve and capacity to use their power responsibly, and just draw the guardians from his previous adventures. Although if THAT's a factor, maybe they should also be able to read that Kirby is an unstoppable force of eldritch consumption and destruction and is more than ready for the task... ... ... er, wait. No. Maybe DON'T give him anything like that.

Even if it's ostensibly to help with a suspiciously inoffensive little clown child's plan to stop the system's celestial bodies from fighting.

Just whomping on Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright should honestly be enough, right? Doing that's old hat for Kirby at this point, right?

Just like the Crash Bomber enemy, you can inhale the little paint globules Heavy Lobster dispenses to make him go berserk and his attacks far more erratic. No Deluxe Copy Essence for Paint! ...or you can just let T.A.C. repeatedly jab him in the behind for massive damage. (Knowing which enemies are susceptible to this is probably one of the fastest strategies to defeating them.)
