Today, DJ Peach Cobbler reveals his Game of the Year for 2022. Which, obviously, is God of War 7 (8?): God Harder. God of War Ragnarok is so good that DJ Peach Cobbler forgot all the other games that came out this year! There was a cat one, right? WHELP, it surely couldn't measure up to the pulse-pounding action of the camera sticking WAY too close to Kratos' back for the combat to be enjoyable.
They KNOW it's a problem, hence the arrows pointing towards imminent attacks, so why is it STILL a problem? I hate it so much. Also, every enemy's health bar is about 50% too long. Kratos doesn't take enough damage, either. The animations and sound design is punchy enough, but the blows have no impact due to the balancing. Furthermore, Kratos doesn't move enough when you dodge.
All in all, it's just a very irritating combat system. I'd probably be a lot kinder to the game if I didn't hate it so much.
I wore the suit at the end because it's a job interview.
