Thirty-fifth video. As evident by the title, this is the battle theme of Cyrus, Team Galactic's leader. Cyrus is fought merely twice throughout Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, making this one of the most exclusive themes in the game.
I can't believe it's been over two weeks since I hit the Upload button! Sorry for the wait, everyone! There are two reasons why this took me so long: 1. I've been on vacation for a week. 2. It was pretty difficult to make, as I will explain shortly. However, I was determined to do it; this was the piece that I dreamed of doing ever since I started out Mario Paint Composer (even before Dialga/Palkia Battle). I wanted to wait until I had enough experience to do it well; with thirty-four videos and 100 subscribers under my belt, at last I felt it was time.
It's been a while since I had to pick out a piece solely by ear. The entire song is in triplets, but I doubled the tempo so I could insert cut-offs, echoes, and the like. That's also partially why it took 11 text files. Getting the rhythm was pretty difficult (almost more so than pitch); I had to listen to some parts about 20 times before I could feel confident about a rhythm. And this is also the first time I used the Yoshis! Hope you enjoy my unequivocal favorite piece from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
