The new week started on a rainy note and the capital area is finally seeing a break from the heavy rain, with mostly cloudy skies. While central areas warm up by 1 to 5 degrees Celsius, the heat continues in the southern regions with a heatwave advisory remaining in place.
And the humidity will stay high with a chance of passing rain of 5 to 60 millimeters in the forecast, some could become quite heavy, with rainfall rates around 20 millimeters per hour, along with thunderstorms and strong winds.
And this afternoon, Seoul will get up to 29 degrees Celsius, about 5 degrees higher than yesterday, Busan will reach 31 degrees. Daegu and Gwangju top out at 32 degrees.
From tomorrow, easterly winds will bring more frequent rain to the east coast. And by the end of the week, mornings and evenings should gradually feel more like autumn.
