Although a whole bunch of people are talking about the GFX50R, it might be fun to look at what its older brother was capable of doing
Fujifilm lent me the Fujifilm GFX50S for roughly 3 weeks. I wanted to see if this camera could be used in my somewhat elaborate workflow. For image quality, it is indeed, second to none. But for actual capacity to get that image in a run and gun photography environment it just does not cut it. At three frames per second it is a clunker. I found out on this photoshoot that trying to force a square peg in a round hole just does not work. The GFX50S is just not made for the likes of fast photography.
But it is indeed a contender in low light and for its high dynamic range. This photo shoot also showed me the capacity of the Fujifilm X-T2 to be such a great image quality and burst photo beast when using it on the streets of Quebec city.
