The Fuglyjet is a scratch built EDF RC plane made of two sheets of Readi-Board (Dollar Tree) foamboard, packing tape, hot glue, and plastic gift cards. Humble looking but easy to build using the techniques of the Armin Wing and foamboard fuselage tube videos on this channel.
Easy to fly with much better slow flight characteristics than many EDF aircraft so it should make a great trainer.
30" wingspan, 30" length, approx. 600g AUW with 2200mAh 3 cell LiPo. 64mm EDF 4300kV outrunner used in this example. Typical flight time 4-6 minutes. Maximum measured speed 55mph.
