A few months ago (February 2020) I did my first laps in an FPV track. Instead of annoying the local pilots with my micros/whoops or flying random quads around the place, I watched others fly the track so I can learn how it goes and then I tried it myself.
After a few broken cameras, bent motor bells and burnt ESCs, it is funny how intimidating crashing someone in mid-air or running into a gate were in the beginning.
Putting these worries to the side, lowering my rates (in the last 2 sessions!) and flying as many packs per session as I had time or spares for definitely paid out. There is a long way to go but I am not in a hurry. Experience needs effort and stick time - sadly I am lacking the latter. Maybe I should try to squeeze a bit of simulator stick time in my schedule every now and then.
Going through my DVR footage motivated me and hopefully you too.
