Picking up family at the airport, but doing it in a Cybertruck at LAX is a whole different level. In this video, I’m taking you along for a whirlwind family visit where we put all three of my EVs—the Cybertruck, the Model Y Juniper, and the Rivian R1S—to work.
The trip starts at LAX, where I pick up uncle, Tito Henry in the Cybertruck. For his first time in California, I knew I had to give him the full experience: a ride in the truck and a stop at In-N-Out. From there, we swapped into the Model Y for an overnight trip to Las Vegas. This was the perfect chance to test out my new 20-inch RVRN wheels and fresh tires on the highway. Even with the move from the OEM 19s to a 20-inch squared setup, the ride comfort remained surprisingly solid, and I’m breaking down the efficiency numbers for those curious about the range impact.
While in Vegas, we hit the classic tourist spots like the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, the Bellagio fountains, and Fremont Street. I even got a chance to show him FSD V14.2.1 in action. It’s a bit of a mixed bag; while highway performance is smoother in some ways, the lane-change hesitation is definitely still a "gremlin" that requires active supervision. We also checked out the massive new Supercharger sites in Baker and Barstow, where the V4 dispensers are now pushing up to 325kW for the Cybertruck.
We finished the visit by bringing out the Rivian R1S to get everyone and their luggage back to the airport. It was a fast-paced trip, but a great way to show how these different EVs fit into our daily lives and long-distance travels.
