Martin Berry, founder and chairman of Gong Cha Global, helped turn a small Taiwanese tea franchise into one of the world’s largest bubble tea chains, now with more than 2,000 locations in 30 countries.
It all started in 2011, when Berry spotted the brand in a Singapore mall, left his lucrative banking career and flew to Taiwan to meet the original founder.
By 2012, he'd opened his first Gong Cha in South Korea. Within three years, he'd grown it to 300+ stores.
