A companion video to the recording of Froberger's Suite XIX in c minor I posted two weeks ago. Continuing on the theme of temperament as a means of expression, in this video I perform two movements of the suite (the Allemande and the Sarabande) in a Rameau temperament, to show how different temperaments can affect the character and expressive content of a piece. The introduction provides a brief demonstration of the differences between quarter-comma meantone and Rameau temperaments.
