Does walking with poles, also known as Nordic walking or “exerstriding,”, beat our regular walking for depression, sleep quality, and weight loss?

This research was done for How Not to Diet (nutritionfacts.org/how-not-to-diet/), but given the results of the studies, it never made the cut. However you walk, though, there are a lot of benefits.
