This Catholic friar just finished saying people need to feel their feelings and that emotions are part of the human experience, then turns around and presents it as if atheists don't view the world that way. That's a textbook strawman argument. Atheists actually place heavy emphasis on how people experience the world. We place paramount importance on human experience and social consciousness, recognizing that our personal experiences don't dictate what others experience. That's what social awareness is about: recognizing that people experience things differently and respecting those differences. The real issue is that the Christian argument seems to demand that everyone feel exactly the same way as other Christian do in particular situations. That's simply not how people work. Whether he's built this entire argument on a strawman or genuinely doesn't understand the atheist position, the result is the same: he's completely misrepresenting what atheists believe about feelings, experience, and human consciousness. Atheists don't reject emotions—we reject conformity of experience.

![Jesus Last Words: Inspiring Philosophys Fix Just Backfired 🤯
Jesus last words contradiction — can Inspiring Philosophys fix actually survive it? Matthew and Mark, Luke, and John each give Jesus a different last line on the cross.
Michael Jones (Inspiring Philosophy) says its not a contradiction — but his own defense backfires into a worse problem: either the gospels report what Jesus said and when, or they dont.

In this response, Inspiring Philosophy (Michael Jones) argues the four different last words of Jesus arent a contradiction because the gospel authors transplanted sayings to the moment before he died. We break down why that defense backfires — and what it does to gospel reliability. We cover gospel contradictions, eisegesis vs exegesis, the Gospel of Lukes orderly account, hagiography vs biography, Mike Liconas transplanting claim, and the criteria of authenticity.
• The four different last words — Matthew/Mark (My God, why have you forsaken me?), Luke (Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit), John (I thirst / It is finished).
• Eisegesis vs exegesis — reading your conclusion INTO the text vs drawing it OUT of it.
• Lukes own orderly account (Luke 1) — why orderly means sequential, and how that sinks the transplant defense.
• Hagiography vs biography — why a text written to venerate Jesus isnt doing history.
• Mike Liconas transplant a saying to a later time claim — and the dilemma it opens.
• The criteria of authenticity — and why the methods for sorting real sayings from invented ones dont hold up.
The trap: if each author moved Jesus words to the moment right before he died, then the gospels are misreporting what he said and when — or theyre accurate and these are flat contradictions. Which one is it?
