Supermarkets across Sweden are taking the concept of locally produced to a whole new level – by growing herbs and lettuce right inside the store.
This innovative vertical farm was developed by Swegreen, a Swedish greentech company that offers circular solutions for urban cultivation. The company combines technology, cultivation skills and computer science in its development of urban sustainable food production.
The perks? A water-efficient all-year-round production, with zero use of pesticides – while bringing the food closer to the consumers.
