Say hello to 'Returrundan' – the mobile recycling station that makes it easier for residents in Stockholm to sort their waste. 🚛🎶
In Sweden, not all types of waste can be disposed of at home. Items like glass, electronics and certain other materials must be taken to a recycling centre. The aim with Returrunda is to make waste sorting more accessible – especially for those without a car, who walk or cycle. And it's more environmentally friendly! The recycling station comes to you rather than everyone having to drive to the recycling station themselves. 🚶♂️🚴♀️
With a short jingle, the recycling truck announces its presence as it drives around various neighbourhoods. From reusable items to hazardous waste like paint and batteries, Returrundan accepts a wide range of objects and materials – as long as they fit inside a moving box. 📦♻️
The recycling truck then takes people's waste to a recycling centre.
Returrundan is an initiative by Stockholm Vatten och Avfall, a water and waste company owned by the City of Stockholm.
