The cranes are dancing – it's spring!
Every year between February and April, many thousands of cranes migrate north for the summer. It takes them a day to fly from Germany to Sweden, and Lake Hornborga in south Sweden is the perfect pit stop before they go further north. The birds gather here to eat and sleep – and dance!
The dancing is a way for the cranes to strengthen the bonds between the male and the female in the pair before breeding. 🐦❤️🐦
