In this FreeCAD video I just demonstrate some of the ways you can create surfaces from edges and the manipulate those edges. This is not a step-by-step tutorial just a tour.
Using only the "built-in" workbenches I show how I am trying to create a fender in FreeCAD.
With Sketcher based "wires", and Draft Wires along with the Advanced Utility to Create shapes Tool and the Create a Ruled Surface, you can likely re-create most surfaces.
