This is a TimeLapse video of a Lego I often print for kids learning about #3dPrinting. It takes less than 20 minutes and if you have a few pre-printed make a great handout.

In this particular print I have the intial layer set to twice the size of each successive layers. Generally a thicker 1st layer helps with bed adhesion but overdoing it creates the toothpaste effect ( as I call it ) that can be seen in this print.

You can see the print has extra plastic squished out of the nozzle on the first layers, and reduces the quality of the first 4 or 5 layers.

At 1:19 you can see some horizontal bridging. Changing the g-code to slow down the print at this point would help with bridging. In this case the failed bridging creates support for the next layers.

You can see at 1:15 we have a fully bridged layer.
