An hour and 15 minutes from Santolan Quezon City is a quiet natural park with waterfalls. This is the Palo Alto inside the Sta. Lucia Estate. To reach this place, take the LRT2 and get off at Santolan Station. Ride a jeep to Cogeo, 17 pesos fare. Last stop is at Cogeo Gate II where you get off. You'll see a high footbridge and a Jollibee resto at the right corner. Walk right towards road that leads to City Mall of Antipolo, about 10 minutes from Jollibee. At the far end of mall are jeepneys. Ride the jeep with Sampaloc & Palo Alto sign. Route is along Marikina Infanta Highway. Tell the driver to drop you at Palo Alto falls. A large billboard, right side in front will welcome you: Palo Alto, Sta. Lucia Estate. Walk towards a guard station. Ask the guard where Palo Alto falls is. It is about 1 km from the gate. You''ll see a landscaped Rotonda. Turn left immediately before this rotonda. Walk towards a concrete house and you'll see a signage: Palo Alto Falls. The natural water pool is undergoing maintenance but the falls are everywhere.
