Hello Everyone,
Today the November poll is finally ready to go. We have 5 new unfinished samples in various genres.
The first is the super-gangsta, villain theme called "The Deliverer." We're introduced with a saturated synth blare, light percussion and a piano taking the melody. Things intensify quickly as the taikos really start to slam and the piano comes in louder. Next the strings and horns enter and turn the game up a notch. I imagined a villain capable of easily dispatching his opponents. A veritable bringer of death.
To counter that, we jump into an upbeat, happy little tune named "Blue Skies." We have energetic strings, strumming acoustic guitar and a buzzy synthetic bass. After the intro and everything comes together in the chorus, our piano jumps front and center with a flighty little riff that set the cool vibes over the top.
The third is a magical, fantasy piece called "Unlimited Wonders." We have swelling string sections, harp runs, and a piano playing up the scale to add a little more to that wondrous feeling. I imagined being introduced to a new world, and as the horns and basses explode onto the scene, I could see the vibrant trees sprouting up all around me and the glittering light specs floating around me through the air as everything literally transformed into an unbelievable realm of possibility and excitement. Okay, I may have gotten a little carried away there. Up next!
Track four is "The Way of Peace." It's an orchestral mix with traditional Chinese instruments. I originally started this as a sort of exploratory theme for world traveling, and while I think it could be used in that respect still, I feel like it has other layers to it. There's a sense of nobility and honor in here that I think could make it a good character theme. Or maybe it could be a journey theme literally as well as metaphorically, as our character is set upon a quest that will be filled with many tests and trials.
And lastly we have "Cyber City." This one gets a little weird. I'm not quite sure what I was thinking when I was doing this. It starts out simply enough. We have a simply 80's, retro kind of drum beat with some taikos on top and a piano riff. Our lead is a spacey, pluck synth which the piano pairs with at times for a little more definition. Just after 30 seconds in, our strings become a little pad-like and we enter an almost dream-like phase. After which, we nearly devolve into an 8bit kind of beat that leads back into our main melody eventually. Don't ask!
I'll start a private poll for the second tier and higher to cast your vote for the piece you want finished. Voting will end December 17th, so there's plenty of time to decide!
Thanks so much for your continued support and patience! I hope you've all been well!
