Franz Liszt - Ouvertüre zu "Tannhäuser" von Richard Wagner – Konzertparaphrase, S442

Even in this work, Liszt perfectly followed Wagner's original score, but he still subtitled his transcription of the Tannhäuser Overture Konzertparaphrase for some inscrutable reason. This transcription used to be a very popular warhorse at piano recitals, and it was memorably recorded by the great Benno Moiseiwitsch, Jorge Bolet, etc. But here, I want to strongly recommend a piano roll recording by Ignaz Friedman. This recording demonstrates his incredible piano performing prowess, even the piano roll recording couldn't dampen his enthusiasm for performance.
