Join us as we take a look back at our excavation of the Fort Douglas Ordnance House. This structure was built in the early 1860s from locally quarried Red Butte Sandstone to house supplies for the fort's armament. During our excavation, we were able to locate all four walls and collected many interesting artifacts along the way — including glass bottles, a tobacco pipe, and uniform adornments. Findings like these help us better understand the fort itself and the lives of the soldiers who served there.
