I don’t know who needs to hear this, but adding a formaldehyde donor preservative IS NOT THE SAME THING as adding straight-up formaldehyde (to a shampoo). Here’s a short story about how misinformation can have, potentially, far reaching negative consequences. And why good science communication is super important - this is complicated stuff! It’s not something we, as cosmetic scientists, should expect people (including legislators) to just understand without a good explanation.
