Some random footage of moving subaru car wrecks around with the forklift at my fathers wrecking yard.
After stripping the vehicles they are moved to a section of the yard on the forklift to be collected and taken away by the scrap metal merchant.
The forklift makes it easy to move the wrecks around and also any non going vehicles. Engines, gearboxes and other heavy parts are also loaded into vans, trucks and trailers for customers and when sent by courier with the forklift.
A lot of the cars are still able to be driven into the workshop before they are stripped. I'm a bit funny about inanimate object like vehicles though. They are like a living thing and It always strikes me that I am the last person to ever drive one of these things on their last ever journey as short as it may be.
