This was my 2nd official car "show & update" video, but it is very old and outdated. The car has since been sold on Sat, Nov 23, 2019.
The hood "fly-up" incident discussed, took place on Tue, Dec 6, 2016. I got the car back from that incident, repaired-- with the other items having been completed, as well-- on Tue, Feb 9, 2017.
I had never tried a Facebook live video stream through my Facebook account before. I wanted to test it out. It will probably be the last time I ever do that (with any video, car or otherwise).
Aside from conveying the information I wanted to, the quality was absolutely horrific! I would have been better off just recording a standard cell phone video, transferring it to my desktop hard drive, editing it there, and then uploading it to YouTube from there. Oh well... now I know.
The issue was complicated by the fact that in the garage, my phone kept cycling on and off the WI-FI connection in the house, since it was at the outer limits of the router, on the opposite end of the house.
It was neat that some of my Facebook friends saw it live and came on the 'chat-box" to comment in real time... but that was about the only thing that was novel about it.
Unless they've vastly improved the technology and have made the experience better in the past 3 years-- I don't think I'm missing much.
Anyway, it was worth the try.
