First time around, I outputted (rendered) my edited video in the wrong format. Pause and notice the ghost images of fence posts and telephone polls. Editing is a "learn as I go" sort of thing. Took a few weeks to figure out how to correct the problem, but finally got it taken care of. See version 2, and notice the difference!

I put an iPhone app for GPS telemetry data (while video recording) to the test, while the phone is mounted to a windshield "suction cup & arm" device, driving through local roads in my home area of Oakdale, California-- or a little north and to the east of.
Speed, direction, lat/long, altitude, date/time, elapsed distance. More or less can be added to taste. Color of the instruments can be changed as well. See more description of the app and how to find it in the description under the playlist I set up for it.
The only real negative issue I see with the app (or somewhere in the process), is that it wants to contour to the native resolution of the iPhone; which in the case of iPhone 11, isn't 16:9. So it shot 1558 x 720p, but the editor (Vegas Movie Studio) insisted on turning to 1280 x 720... as it doesn't recognize 1558 as a preset width.
Also, stock frame rate of the app's recording was 31.579 fps, but the final .mp4 output as yielded from the editor's render was 15.789. Very crisp and clear frames, but also played back very jittery, because of the low frame rates.
So I decided to go with 1280 x 720p x 32, 30.000 fps... as 30 was the closest I was ever going to get to 31.579; without the render-er trying to split the frame rates in half. There is some "ghost imaging" when you pause video, from 31. 579 vs. 30.000 "frame over-lap" ... but at least the flow of the video is much smoother without jitter (like you're watching it through a strobe light).
Through this whole process, I don't know if this is an issue of the iPhone 11 (a phone I just got and haven't fully learned its functionality yet), the app and its limitations, or Vegas Movie Studio and its required parameters-- both when inputting media into the editor, and outputting the final edit through the movie render-er. Lots more to learn, as I continue to use both the phone and the GPS app.
