Portugal is one of our favorite countries: the food is delicious, people are warm and welcoming, the landscape is rough but beautiful.
We were super excited when Luis from Insider Cooking Portugal (insider-cooking.com/) who we get to know last year, invited us to experience the food culture of his home region Sintra.
Sintra is a costal region in the south, close to Lisbon, and its mountains unfold a special micro climate.
Luis showed us many traditional Portugese dishes but he cooked them with less fat and some non-traditional spices: the result was truly amazing.
As we organized a Food Camp we invited Sophia Schilik from Cucina Picina (cucinapiccina.de/) and Ariane Bille to accompany us on the trip, in order to exchange recipes and cooking techniques.
We had one of the best times ever and became truly good friends. Regina & Luis, thank you so much for making this possible, we are immensely grateful!
