Sometimes the best moments in the Philippines are the simplest ones.

Today, April and I spend a relaxing morning together making and enjoying breakfast while talking about our childhoods, the food we grew up eating, and just how different food can be here in the Philippines compared to back home.

There’s something about sitting down together, sharing a meal, and having those everyday conversations that makes you appreciate the simple things in life.

We talk about the foods we remember from growing up, the differences we've noticed here in the Philippines, and why Filipino food seems to have a way of making even an ordinary breakfast feel special.
