The Joint Research Centre of the European Commission is developing a measurement system to support allergic consumers and food companies.
This measurement system will allow the production of reliable and comparable data across thousands of laboratories. It will help curb the proliferation of warnings on labels indicating that products 'may containโ traces of other allergenic ingredients while giving allergic consumers more safe food choices, in full confidence.
