↡ Fontainebleau Bouldering ↡
Our last day in Font was one of my favourites. We visited two new areas, 95.2 North and South, where we climbed on Le Petite Mousse 7A and Le Jete Michaud 7A+. I managed to get to the top of both blocs, suggesting that I'd finally adapted somewhat to the demands of Fontainebleau sandstone. James impressively flashed Le Petite Mousse, despite the fact his left hamstring had been left in tatters from a problem earlier in the week.
As the sunset, we moved down the hill, past 95.2 Centre and towards Tentation 7A and Retour Aux Sources 7A. If you've followed the first video in this series, you'll have seen we started the week with a session on Retour Aux Sources by lamplight. It was fitting to end the week the way we started. James looked close to sending Retour Aux Sources on our first day, but fatigue had perhaps caught us up by the time Friday evening came around. I opted to try Tentation instead, it looked fun and I quickly found a way to the top by cranking on a mega heel hook for most of the problem. It felt steady enough that I repeated it straight after, and I'll certainly be looking to add the sit-start next trip.
