Up through the early 1960's, steam powered logging trains were a common sight throughout the Pacific Northwest. In some places, it is still possible to get the experience of what this long gone part of daily life was like.
In October 2018 Lerro Productions hosted a week of charters on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, which aimed to recreate this now gone slice of life. In a scene that was typical for many Northwest coastal towns, an empty log train heads out to the woods through the early morning fog.
