In Wheeler Oregon the site of the old depot and service facilities is now a privately owned residence. Though rail movements past this location are infrequent since it is not part of the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad's regular route, there is a child that lives there that loves to chaise trains on his bike. During the 2018 Lerro Photography charters this kid was treated to many runbys in front of his house, and the photographers decided we liked him as part of the "scene". Here are two views of what was a common sight long ago when steam powered logging railroads were common in the Pacific Northwest. Sometimes, its not always about the train.
