In Volume-5 of Focus on Norfolk Southern 2020…We mainly focus on recording trains in Austell Georgia, including Norfolk Southern, KCS, UP, BNSF, and Amtrak Crescent #19 & 20...we also cross paths with Heritage units - Virginian, Pennsylvania, Bee Line/Reading and Southern!
We’ll catch some great shots of trains crossing over the Chattahoochee River Bridge in late summer and see a number of aerial shots getting close to the bridge where roads don’t go.
We’ll take a day trip to the the Dalton Freight Depot in North Georgia, and catch many NS freight and double stack trains including an awesome run-by with 8 NS locos at the head end.
We’ll catch more runbys of Amtrak Crescent #20 rolling east from New Orleans, and Crescent #19 from New York through the towns of Temple, Villa Rica, Douglasville and Austell, Georgia. Also we catch Crescent #20 just arriving at Peachtree Station in Atlanta.
Locations Include; Austell, Mableton, Lithia Springs, Douglasville, Winston, Villa Rica, Temple, Bremen, Tallapoosa Train Park, Rockmart, Hiram, Dallas, Powder Springs, and the Dalton Train Depot.
