Floridian Hippies are back with another hard hippie hitter, straight outta Finland. "Fuel Injected" is 12 minutes of rotted weed and Californian sewer waste, merged with an undeniable Finnish influence.
There is as much Autopsy as there is Convulse, as much Impetigo as there is early Xysma. I even dare to say I heard a bit Demilich in some passages.
Personally, this band is all I like in death metal and some more. Even if they don't stray from the usual modern low tuned and grimy style, Floridian Hippies managed to deliver a fresh sound that mixes influences that surprisingly are rarely seen together. Merging that with their unique hippie theme and aesthetic... It couldn't ever go wrong.

Augmentation were an American crossover thrash band. There isnt much information about them out there, I only know theyre from Chicago because its written on the tape. According to discogs, this was their only release.
The Dead is just moshing music. Its not very deep, it barely has diversity and sounds like anyone couldve written it - but what it lacks in those aspects, it compensates with attitude! And thats what matters when all you want is to mosh around with a beer in your hand.

Myosis, from the Netherlands, were a 5-piece death metal band. During their active period, this demo was the only thing they officially recorded.
This demo is mostly mid-tempo, but I think they really ace the faster bits. They take some hints of Death/Autopsy and mix them with maybe Depravity? Baphomet? Something around those lines...
Man, I hate that Ive been listening to death metal for so many years now and Im still terrible at properly remembering/identifying similarly sounding bands unless its like Death, Autopsy, Asphyx or Incantation....

Grey were an American brutal death metal band that sung about... Aliens! For those who dont know, a grey is that sterotypical, slender, big headed alien we all know of - but instead of green, theyre grey. The band formed in 1996 and apparently this was their only release.
The cover art really is something, I almost find it funny how they used wingdings for the symbols. Anyway, as silly as the bands image might look, the music is actually pretty damn good. Unfortunately, track 2 cuts off abruptly and I was never able to find the full version of that song, but I really liked Greys demo so I decided to upload it anyway.

Disbelief are a German death/thrash/sludge metal band. Formed in 1990, the band has released 4 demos, 1 EP, 1 split and a whopping 10 LPs, their last one being released in 2020. Throughout the long run time of the band, a lot of class act names have beein through their line-up, such as Cornelius Althammer from Ahab, Karsten Jäger from Morgoth or Wolfgang Rothbauer from... a bunch of great bands actually, among many other.
It is true that right now the band does play a super sludgy style of deathrash, but at their very inception Disbelief were straight up death metal, a very bone grinding death metal band. They do hint at some of their later material with moments like the clear vocals in Blackness, but other than that its just non-stop riff. It is a fact that I love their sludge debut, but god damn I wouldnt have minded a single bit if they kept the energy they had on this promo tape.

A split straight out of the depths of Rlyeh, with unsurmountable quantities of death/doom and eldritch synths. A true treasure for fans of cavernous sounding death metal.
A split that, to me, sounds very influenced by diSEMBOWELMENT, Winter, Cianide, Decomposed and even the modern legend Worm (their death doom outputs, not the most recent meloback-leaning ones, of course). If any of these things tickle your fancy, youre in for such a good time. Theres atmosphere, skanks, synths and deep growls.

French death metallers Linceul Charnel formed the band in 1996 and released two demos: Flows, their debut, in 1996, and Repugnance in 1998. Both rather long releases, specially for demos, but not without some artistic merit.
The length brings along some atmospheric bits, clean soft instrumentals and some uncommon calm for a death metal demo. However, when the death starts going it really goes. The vocals are really nice, like a dog snarl, not exactly gutturals but not just 80s death metal where its just harsher thrash vocals, you know? Preference for the melodic bits is arguable, but hey I really like it when they slow down a deliver a beefier straightfoward death metal riff. Drums are great too! I wish the kick wasnt as click-y but oh well. If youre not totally bored by the 20min mark then its a great demo to spend time with!

Blaster are a Mexican death metal band and En Tu Interior was their second full length album.
I gotta say theres not much to be said about this album. Its not specially good nor specially bad, its not too long either. What I think could set Blaster apart are the unconventional or weirdo song structures/riffs they often use. Its kind of a gamble when the next one is gonna come, you never now! And by the end of the album youre so used to it you might not notice anymore...

Vomepotro were a brutal death metal band from Brazil. The band formed in 1996 and has released 4 demos, 2 full-lenghts and 1 split. Pressed Corpse was their first output.
Although there isnt anything on Vomepotros music that sets them appart from most other brutal death bands of the time, it doesnt mean that Pressed Corpse doesnt have its appeal. Its a pretty raw and murky demo, probably recorded in a dank room 6 feet deep. It really is run-of-the-mill broots, its hard to find something interesting to say about this to be honest. I guess the Slayer cover is an interesting one, it sounds so sloppy sometimes, which has its charm if you ask me.

Wretched Earth were an American thrash/death metal band and this self-titled demo was the only material they ever released. I wont write much about this music since user J Krak had already uploaded this demo split in 2 parts before, which includes a very good description written by a band member about the bands background. All I say is that this demo sounds sloppy as fuck and you know I like when music is played by people that have 0 knowledge about any music theory whatsoever.
