French death metallers Linceul Charnel formed the band in 1996 and released two demos: Flows, their debut, in 1996, and Repugnance in 1998. Both rather long releases, specially for demos, but not without some artistic merit.
The length brings along some atmospheric bits, clean soft instrumentals and some uncommon calm for a death metal demo. However, when the death starts going it really goes. The vocals are really nice, like a dog snarl, not exactly gutturals but not just 80's death metal where its just harsher thrash vocals, you know? Preference for the melodic bits is arguable, but hey I really like it when they slow down a deliver a beefier straightfoward death metal riff. Drums are great too! I wish the kick wasnt as click-y but oh well. If you're not totally bored by the 20min mark then it's a great demo to spend time with!

![Blaster - En Tu Interior (Real Introspección de Una Vida Sin Sentido) [Full Album - 1997]
Blaster are a Mexican death metal band and En Tu Interior was their second full length album.
I gotta say theres not much to be said about this album. Its not specially good nor specially bad, its not too long either. What I think could set Blaster apart are the unconventional or weirdo song structures/riffs they often use. Its kind of a gamble when the next one is gonna come, you never now! And by the end of the album youre so used to it you might not notice anymore...

![Vomepotro - Pressed Corpse [Full Demo - 1998]
Vomepotro were a brutal death metal band from Brazil. The band formed in 1996 and has released 4 demos, 2 full-lenghts and 1 split. Pressed Corpse was their first output.
Although there isnt anything on Vomepotros music that sets them appart from most other brutal death bands of the time, it doesnt mean that Pressed Corpse doesnt have its appeal. Its a pretty raw and murky demo, probably recorded in a dank room 6 feet deep. It really is run-of-the-mill broots, its hard to find something interesting to say about this to be honest. I guess the Slayer cover is an interesting one, it sounds so sloppy sometimes, which has its charm if you ask me.

![Wretched Earth - Wretched Earth [Full Demo - 1996]
Wretched Earth were an American thrash/death metal band and this self-titled demo was the only material they ever released. I wont write much about this music since user J Krak had already uploaded this demo split in 2 parts before, which includes a very good description written by a band member about the bands background. All I say is that this demo sounds sloppy as fuck and you know I like when music is played by people that have 0 knowledge about any music theory whatsoever.

![Argot - In Our Human Meat Locker [Full Demo - 2000]
Argot were the first iteration of the now legendary band you all probably know as Artery Eruption, kings of slam.
On this demo you can hear a early version of their sound, ridden with gurgles and sparsely used screech-like screams. Non-stop violence, straight up belligerence. Music to my ears...

![Suhrim - Mountain of Skulls [Full Demo - 1994]
Suhrim, from Belgium, were a brutal death metal band. Active from 1989 to 2009, theyve released 7 demos and 4 LPs.
Although later on in their career their brutal death sound would become better defined, Id say that this demo is still mostly just death metal. You already have the chugs and slams here and there, as well as the really fast blast beats with the guitars going all over the fret board, but I argue that there were normal death metal bands doing the same in 94. Regardless, its still a really good halfway point between both styles! It even has a very calming, soft melodic section before the final track so you can catch your breath.
If you enjoyed this demo, why not try their other music? Ive uploaded some of their material a while back! Here:

![Venefixion - A Sigh from Below [Full Album - 2021]
A Sigh from Below is the debut black curse from French coffin robbers Venefixion. 35 minutes of pestilent death metal with some black/thrash touches
If any of you guys follow this channel, you will remember that a while back I uploaded their demo and EP to my channel. I was a big fan of those 2, but fuck their debut turns everything up to 11. A Sigh from Below is a relentless and never-halting album, filled with speed and spite and black spells. Theres a palpable sanguine desire throughout the whole runtime, this album feels like it wants to devour you alive.
Take my word: you will want to stay until the very end of the album, Venefixion pull off some truly unexpected tricks up to the last second....

Mawkish Ingestion were a short lived death metal band from Spain. Formed in 1994 and active until 1997, The Craneal Hunger Seed was the only release they ever put out.
Beefy and 0 bullshit death metal, straight up. Just low vocals, drum set carnage and raw guitars for 20 minutes. Think Immolations Dawn of Possession, early Sinister, Rottrevore or even Gorefest. A sweet find for any OSDM fan!

![Scattered Remains - Terminate All Rational Thought [Full Demo - 1993]
Scattered Remains were an American death/thrash metal band and Terminate All Rational Thought was their only recorded material.
By death/thrash I mean its mostly death/thrash instrumentals with clean, thrash-style vocals. I dont know if thats enough to go through your death metal filters, but it definitely passes mine. This demo is very hit or miss, or at least I feel like it is - but its also undoubtedly unique. The mix of powerful vox with characteristically death metal guitars adds up to create a neat sonic enviroment. Also, another thing that adds to the hit or miss aspect of this demo, due to the clean vocals and the mid-paced riffs, Scattered Remains sometimes, very briefly, reminded me of Alice in Chains. I dont know about you, but I love AiC, so I definitely didnt mind that.

![Hansened - Bones to Rotten Brains [Full Demo - 1996]
Today we have a really short one. Hanseneds debut demo, straight from Brazil, is a fine piece of good ol meat n potatoes mid 90s death metal. No frills, no experimentation, no nothing. Just pure death metal. You dont need more than that to be good! Bite sized death metal demo right here and I couldnt ask for much better...
I also uploaded their second demo a couple of years ago: https://youtu.be/aeJdTwFB_xk?si=k9IT4-YNT1YoPUiQ

![Porno - No God Your God [Full Demo - 1994]
Lets see if this video stays up for long....
Porno were a Canadian death metal band. Formed in 1992, they have released 3 demos and more recently, back in 2022, dropped a compilation of all their material.
This bands style takes mostly from the beefed up early 90s american style of death metal, just down tune and low gurgles. You can hear some sweet sweet sloppiness on their music, specially when the guitar player wants to play too many different notes in quick succession - I love that! One of my favourite aspects of old school basement recorded death metal!

![Acid Death - Promo Demo 1993 [Full Demo - 1993]
Acid Death are a currently progressive/technical death metal band from Greece. Between their formation in 89, their split-up in 2001 and their reformation in 2011, Acid Death released 5 full-lengths, 3 EPs and 3 demos, along with some splits and a couple of single releases.
Despite their current style being super techy and proggy, in their early years you can still hear the death/thrash-y groundwork that they started out with. They were always very technical and intricate with their riffs, sure, but manage it with a super straight forward finesse that doesnt really sound like wank bullshit to me - kind of in the same way as Ripping Corpse (actually, come to think of it, if youre into RC, youll definitely like early Acid Death!)
All in all, a super cool blend of thrashy death metal with early 90s technicality that unavoidably shows what this band would later evolve into.
