Disbelief are a German death/thrash/sludge metal band. Formed in 1990, the band has released 4 demos, 1 EP, 1 split and a whopping 10 LPs, their last one being released in 2020. Throughout the long run time of the band, a lot of class act names have beein through their line-up, such as Cornelius Althammer from Ahab, Karsten Jäger from Morgoth or Wolfgang Rothbauer from... a bunch of great bands actually, among many other.
It is true that right now the band does play a super sludgy style of deathrash, but at their very inception Disbelief were straight up death metal, a very bone grinding death metal band. They do hint at some of their later material with moments like the clear vocals in Blackness, but other than that it's just non-stop riff. It is a fact that I love their sludge debut, but god damn I wouldn't have minded a single bit if they kept the energy they had on this promo tape.

Estropia were a Swiss death/thrash metal band and this demo is their only known output.
Thrashy through and through, you can expect a non-stop barrage of riff after riff. Undeniably influenced by Pestilence and showing touches of Merciless and that early 90s french death/thrash style of Massacra, Agressor or Loudblast, if death/thrash is your thing you CANT sleep on this one!

A split straight out of the depths of Rlyeh, with unsurmountable quantities of death/doom and eldritch synths. A true treasure for fans of cavernous sounding death metal.
A split that, to me, sounds very influenced by diSEMBOWELMENT, Winter, Cianide, Decomposed and even the modern legend Worm (their death doom outputs, not the most recent meloback-leaning ones, of course). If any of these things tickle your fancy, youre in for such a good time. Theres atmosphere, skanks, synths and deep growls.

French death metallers Linceul Charnel formed the band in 1996 and released two demos: Flows, their debut, in 1996, and Repugnance in 1998. Both rather long releases, specially for demos, but not without some artistic merit.
The length brings along some atmospheric bits, clean soft instrumentals and some uncommon calm for a death metal demo. However, when the death starts going it really goes. The vocals are really nice, like a dog snarl, not exactly gutturals but not just 80s death metal where its just harsher thrash vocals, you know? Preference for the melodic bits is arguable, but hey I really like it when they slow down a deliver a beefier straightfoward death metal riff. Drums are great too! I wish the kick wasnt as click-y but oh well. If youre not totally bored by the 20min mark then its a great demo to spend time with!

Blaster are a Mexican death metal band and En Tu Interior was their second full length album.
I gotta say theres not much to be said about this album. Its not specially good nor specially bad, its not too long either. What I think could set Blaster apart are the unconventional or weirdo song structures/riffs they often use. Its kind of a gamble when the next one is gonna come, you never now! And by the end of the album youre so used to it you might not notice anymore...

Vomepotro were a brutal death metal band from Brazil. The band formed in 1996 and has released 4 demos, 2 full-lenghts and 1 split. Pressed Corpse was their first output.
Although there isnt anything on Vomepotros music that sets them appart from most other brutal death bands of the time, it doesnt mean that Pressed Corpse doesnt have its appeal. Its a pretty raw and murky demo, probably recorded in a dank room 6 feet deep. It really is run-of-the-mill broots, its hard to find something interesting to say about this to be honest. I guess the Slayer cover is an interesting one, it sounds so sloppy sometimes, which has its charm if you ask me.

Wretched Earth were an American thrash/death metal band and this self-titled demo was the only material they ever released. I wont write much about this music since user J Krak had already uploaded this demo split in 2 parts before, which includes a very good description written by a band member about the bands background. All I say is that this demo sounds sloppy as fuck and you know I like when music is played by people that have 0 knowledge about any music theory whatsoever.

Suhrim, from Belgium, were a brutal death metal band. Active from 1989 to 2009, theyve released 7 demos and 4 LPs.
Although later on in their career their brutal death sound would become better defined, Id say that this demo is still mostly just death metal. You already have the chugs and slams here and there, as well as the really fast blast beats with the guitars going all over the fret board, but I argue that there were normal death metal bands doing the same in 94. Regardless, its still a really good halfway point between both styles! It even has a very calming, soft melodic section before the final track so you can catch your breath.

A Sigh from Below is a relentless and never-halting album, filled with speed and spite and black spells. Theres a palpable sanguine desire throughout the whole runtime, this album feels like it wants to devour you alive.

Mawkish Ingestion were a short lived death metal band from Spain. Formed in 1994 and active until 1997, The Craneal Hunger Seed was the only release they ever put out.
Beefy and 0 bullshit death metal, straight up. Just low vocals, drum set carnage and raw guitars for 20 minutes. Think Immolations Dawn of Possession, early Sinister, Rottrevore or even Gorefest. A sweet find for any OSDM fan!

Scattered Remains were an American death/thrash metal band and Terminate All Rational Thought was their only recorded material.
By death/thrash I mean its mostly death/thrash instrumentals with clean, thrash-style vocals. I dont know if thats enough to go through your death metal filters, but it definitely passes mine. This demo is very hit or miss, or at least I feel like it is - but its also undoubtedly unique. The mix of powerful vox with characteristically death metal guitars adds up to create a neat sonic enviroment. Also, another thing that adds to the hit or miss aspect of this demo, due to the clean vocals and the mid-paced riffs, Scattered Remains sometimes, very briefly, reminded me of Alice in Chains. I dont know about you, but I love AiC, so I definitely didnt mind that.
