The rain has finally stopped after almost 2 weeks and the flooded roads are passable once again. Bypassing this lane puts another 6 miles on the journey so little wonder some people push their luck. I ride this road every day, and know exactly what lies beneath the surface, and where the ditches are, but I still ride very slowly and carefully.
However, I watched the blue BMW come racing towards me pushing a huge bow wave over his bonnet, and his engine locked solid 20 feet before the end of the water. As you can see in my video, it barely covers the tyres, and is easily passable.
