While in Illinois, I stopped at Flippin Eggs Restaurant in Dekalb to try their MONSTER Burger Challenge!
The Challenge is about 5 lbs total, consisting of a 3 lb burger patty, 12 slices of cheese, a giant custom roll and a massive serving of veggies. Unfortunately, due to new management, they are in the process of phasing out the challenge so they originally told me they were out of the custom bun, but ended up finding one in the kitchen. In retrospect, I may have preferred the Texas Toast option they offered me originally! Challengers are given 1 hour to finish this $29 meal for a chance to get the meal free and to get up on their wall of fame.
This was a pretty tasty challenge, but I had not given myself enough time to train for this challenge on short notice and ended up filling slightly past my capacity, resulting in my losing the challenge with onl a few bites of light veggies to go!
