In my last Major League Eating contest before my Nathan's Finals debut, I had the distinct pleasure of making my first trip to the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA for the Benny Marzano's Pizza Eating Championship!
I got to link up with my good friend and elite eater Darron Breeden at his alma mater AND I even got to see his wife Caroline just before their son Eddie was born :).
This was an awesome contest with 2 eaters making their MLE debut and a crowd full of rowdy college students. All the finest things in life. I even got to join for a brief afterparty before heading to the airport!
