In this video, I show how the Carbine Flip Bolt to 3582 Stainless Template is used when installing or retrofitting a 3582 short backset mortice lock into an aluminium door that previously had a flip bolt lock.
One of the more time-consuming parts of this type of locksmith job is accurately marking out the door before cutting. The template takes a lot of the measuring and guesswork out of the job, helping you quickly locate the correct positions for the mortice lock and associated cut-outs.
